i am wondering if my excavator bulldozer and other heavy machinery skills would be of any help in Haiti?
i own my own construction and landscaping company and have 7 years experience in an excavator bulldozer and other pieces of heavy machinery.
i dont want to ship machines there i just want to lend my skills and opperate machinery that is already there.. maybe government owned or whatever…
There isn’t any machinery there to speak of. There isn’t any government there to speak of.
Perhaps contact Habitat for Humaniy; in a few months they may need someone with your skills to help in the rebuilding process–which is going to go on for YEARS.

What is Industrial Rock?/Does it sound like machinery and heavy equipment?
I heard or read an interview with Iggy Pop once, and in it he said he would go around to different factories and shops in the Detroit area to listen to the sounds the machinery and equipment made, and then use those sounds to influence his music.
Nine Inch Nails helped popularize industrial rock by introducing conentional song structures to it(I like Reznor,just clarifying)-I wouldn’t call them ‘typical’ examples of industrial music.Industrial rock can be traced back to early pioneers electro pop/experimental Kraftwerk to aaggressive noise like Throbbing Gristle and avant garde sounds like Cabaret Voltaire.

A device that has a computer in it (microwave oven, car, mp3 player) is an embedded device. Office machinery? Printers, copiers, alarms (fire, burglar). If you have to use a swipe card to "punch in" or open doors, there’s a computer behind that (it may be embedded, it may be just a PC.) Your phone system almost definitely has at least one embedded computer.

What tools & machinery are required to refinish wood floors? Also, what is the cost to rent/buy these tools?
I’m unsure of the type of wood floors. What I’m thinking is that I will have to remove whatever finish is currently on the floor and then refinish it.
The tool required to re-finish a wood floor is called a floor sander. this tool can be rented in many rental places in your area. i should mention that the use of this tool requires some experience, for if used incorrectly you may cause over sanding, and damage your floor. depending on the age and present finish, will determine the grit of the sandpaper to use. typically the rental of this machine may vary between
$75- 125 per day. the operation of this machine should be dome by an adult. this job will also require the use of an edge sander, to reach those areas close to the wall, where the big sander is not able to reach
