Could someone please recommend a good answering machine that uses mini cassettes?
I’m looking for an answering machine that uses mini-cassettes and records the date and time of a call. What would you recommend?
These are gone, years now. All recording machines use solid state memory. All of them record date and time and you don’t have to worry about tapes either.

How electricity does an Xray or MRI machine use per scan? How much does it cost the Hospital?
My brother insists that it takes a LOT of electricity in order to power and Xray or MRI machine just for one scan. He thinks it uses more than a normal household uses per month. I doubt that. Does anyone know how much is used or how much it costs? No guesses please…my other brother loves to answer questions with guess-answers because he thinks he’s probably always right…conveniently nobody ever has a computer when he gives these questionable answers and nobody remembers what he said….
The amount of energy used will always be constant on the machines the only way to solve this problem is to determine where the machines are used to get kilowatt costs as they are more expensive in some areas of the country. Once you determine that factor it will be easy to solve the equation.

How do I clean a copy machine that uses toner cartridge?
When people ask this question, it’s usually because they’ve spilled a large amount of toner.
Be advised that if you have spilled a large amount of toner, using the printer will cause melted toner to stick to everything and you’ll have to toss it or get it repaired at great expense.
DO NOT USE YOUR HOUSEHOLD VACUUM!
Doing so will pass toner through the motor. The heat will melt the toner, it’ll stick to the motor and you’ll be shopping for a new vacuum.
Don’t do anything to get toner particles airborne. Toner is a carcinogen and the particles can take hours to settle.
Don’t do anything that may apply heat to the loose toner. Once heated, it’ll melt and stick like glue to anything that isn’t Teflon coated.
There are a few options:
1) You can ignore sage advice and use your household vacuum cleaner.
2) You can disassemble the printer and sweep out the spilled toner then wonder why you have one little screw left over after you put it back together.
3) You can dump it upside down and shake the spilled toner out, which will probably break something else.
4) You can call an experienced service technician who has the correct type of vacuum and tools and have them do it for you.

How to stop time machine using an external hard drive for backups?
I used my 320 gb external hard drive to do backups for my mac via time machine. However, now it doesn’t work on windows computer, and i honestly prefer backing up manually. Is there any way i can disconnect my hard drive from time machine, so that i can back things up manually instead of using the time machine application, and so (i presume) will allow it to work on non-mac computers as well?
Whats time machine, is this a program for the mac?
Can you not just un install the software?

What other uses for a electric breadmaking maCHINE?
I have an old working breadmaker machine.
paddle missing
what else besides bread can be made in it?
thanks
I think it could bake other stuff .
even with no paddle.
make cakes?
or quick breads?
just not sure how to go about doing that with one.
I like the beans reply
that is a good idea actually
I have a couple crockpots but this machine works a bit differently gets hotter and stuff.Cooks quicker
Anything that uses yeast or ferments. You can even make beans in it. Almost anything you would put in a crock pot can be cooked with a lot of manipulating.

ch uses the most amount of water, washing dishes by hand, or using a dish washing machine?
The first word in my question should have ‘which’.
Actually, they are both wrong!
In actuality, any dishwasher made in the last 15 years uses less water than hand washing dishes (as long as you are not the type that washes the dishes first, then uses the dishwasher), as long as you wash full loads and not 1/2 loads. You can save energy by not using the dry feature or the water heat setting.
Older washers use a lot more water

Is there a way to prevent my washing machine from using so much electricity?
My washing machine uses loads of energy and it’s costing me quite a bill.
Are there any ways or is there anything I can do so it stops using so much energy?
The best thing is to do full loads with it. Most washers tend to use a lot of electricity because as the clothes are wet there needs to be a lot of force to agitate the clothes. Then as well when it needs to go into spin cycle to try and remove as much h2o as possible

Every time I go to start the laundry, the water that the machine uses on the first load has a bad smell to it.?
It smells like sewer water. The smell dies down after the first load.
What could be causing this???
Thank you!
yeah, that is from water that is left behind.
maybe try washing whites with bleach as the first wash?
