A Stunning Case that Speaks True
In his book, Loewen presents a rather stunning case that speaks true of not only every text book but also speaks true of many traditionally published books. As Loewen points out, “They leave out anything that might reflect badly upon our national character.” I do not view Loewen’s portrayal of events as a bash on any one group or individual, rather I see his writings as a refreshing link between what I have personally been taught about history in general and American history more specifically. It is easy to identify the bias that many of our history textbooks promote whether intended or unintended. Loewen illustrates this not only via the content of the books but also simply by reading the titles of each book and the pictures on the covers.

Do You Agree With White Privilege
I do believe that white privilege is pervasive in our society. The articles and movies clearly illustrate what has been common knowledge to many people of color. Though I hold this view, I also am aware that other influences like gender and socioeconomic status also facilitate a major role in the inequity among people. In there article, Ancis and Szymanski state, “Systems of privilege operate in the workplace, housing, media and the legal system…” This statement is a brief introduction into the far reaching implications of white privilege. As McIntosh states in her article, having the ability to simply turn on the television or open a newspaper and see members of her race not only represented but represented in a positive light.

Cooperative Learning
The key to an effective lesson in Garlikov opinion is that students encounter conceptual or logical difficulties that require more than just practice. The 100’s chart activity includes the necessary practice and goes on to adjust the difficulty by having the student explain the logic behind their answers.
Cooperative learning is modeled when the students are broken into groups to complete the butcher paper activity and dice activity. For the butcher paper activity, the students work together to figure out how many students should go in the tens and ones place. In record the dice activity, the students are required to take turns rolling the dice and recording the answers.

Here Is What I Think
My belief is that literacy skills are first and foremost taught at home. Parenting programs is a way to lessen the gap disadvantage children encounter in literacy when embarking into kindergarten or coming from another country. Many parents of these children have little literacy knowledge and do not know how to develop proficient readers. Shaping the family and community environment of a child in need is exactly what some students need in order to be successful in life. Family literacy centers should be an integrated part of every states curriculum. Parent solidarity has proven that even if students are economically disadvantages the can still be successful if they have emotional and family support.

Sessions Of Training For Our Employees
Everyone knows that safety training is a very important thing to each company. We do not want to betray OSHA by not providing the required and required training on security that’s required. How much training does your organization do? The minimal is to coach your worker a minimum of monthly on no matter hazards they might see on the job. Issues like eye safety, hand injury prevention, and hearth extinguisher training are good examples. Many staff don’t know learn how to use a fire extinguisher and this is a great spot to start.
