Getting our first machine.
Want to get a nice one so we will not have to replace it.
Not interested in cordless … cords are more reliable.
Love the machines that have the 3-D anime dancers
i found this looks heavy duty

Academy Of Art University Industrial Design Online? Please Answer?
-If i cant go to the university itself would an online degree be a good option?
-Can you be successful with an online degree?
-Any Advice going into industrial Design?
-What jobs can i get into from this later?
I go to Academy of Art, Im an illustration major, but I know that the online curriculum is the exact same as the onsite curriculum. The degree from Academy of Art will be just as valuable if you take the online approach. My advise to someone going into industrial design is if you dont know what emphasis you want to go into now (toys, cars, packaging, products, ect.) dont sweat it right away. The university will start you with foundations courses meant to help you master all of the basic and important skills it takes to be a succesful designer, so you have a little time to be thinking about it then. As far as what jobs you can get, I dont know the specifics for you major off the top of my head, but do check out the website and call the school to talk to an admissions counselor. I really love this school. The education you will recieve here is world class. Good luck!

How do you make drum shells by hand without using heavy machinery?
I just recently aquired some freshly cut maple and was interested in possibly turning into a snare drum. The only problem is that i cant figure out how. Ive searched on the internet and have come up relatively short on how to actually construct the shells themeselves. If anyone could point me in the right direction or give me some helpful hints it would be greatly appreciated.
hand carve it. That is the only way without the use of machinery. start from the middle and work your way out. Use real carving chisels though.

should a brow piercing be considered a violation to dress code for a teacher in a prison?
I was hired with my piercings which are very discrete. One has to get up close to even see them. I have nose piercings. I also have red dreads for that matter. I have an native american and Affrican heritage and rituals and ancestors to honor. I have stretched lobes size 0 and an industrial and rook in one ear. They are very favorably profiled. I have variest accredidations and a masters degree and working on a PhD in Bus. Org and Management leadership, and an Administration credential in Ed.. I also design clothes. But after raising children alone I felt I should at least teach a few years some where full time. After several odd jobs and sub teaching or over two decades and sitting on boards of education committees. I dress professionally better than most.My plans are to teach etiquette and protocol to a number of venues, to bring back civility. I’ve got a few good years left to share my wealth of knowledge. I believe in positive change. My jewelry is my choice.
If you were hired with your piercings I can’t see why you should take them out. At the interview they saw your appearance and decided that you were their best applicant so go to work hold your head high and be proud of the way you look.

is industrial automation is a good career option?
i mean process, instrumentation jobs in designing and commissionig
OH YES! Very good. They pay very well. I am a plant engineer and have worked in the power industry for 15 years. I watch these guys work all the time and I see the budgets. It is incredible what this industry pays for automation and instrumentation. The job it self is good too. The only question you have to ask yourself is , Do you like the industrial environment and chances are most places require travel. I personally am the person who uses the instruments and automation. We can not live with out. Extreme need for these people right now. I run eight power plants that are automated…..good stuff!

I have a New Home full Rotary sewing machine. Never used a sewing machine I need to know how to use it?
Im 21 and never used a sewing machine before. I got a machine from a friends grandmother. So i have no idea on how to use it/work it. Ive played around with it. And looked online but no real answers. It says on the side of it. NEW HOME full Rotary. Don’t know if thats the model or what. So please help. I llove doing arts and crafts and wanna learn so i can do some handbags for my neices and sisters. Thanks
. Their history is interesting @ ismacs. New Home sold out around 1940 and that company was then sold to the Japs in the ’50s.
You might just try to get a ‘generic’ manual that’ll show you how to operate that machine. Maybe a local fabric shop can help?
>> http://sewing.about.com/od/beginner1/ig/Sewing-Tools/Sewing-Machine-Manuals.htm << ;
I suppose that one is totally pumped by foot? No electricity? But the basic operation is generally the same. But to be practical, it’s probably rusty and worn out. Donate it to a museum.
Ebay has a few manuals for sale @ http://search.stores.ebay.com/sewing-machine_Manuals-Books_W0QQcatrefZC6QQsacatZ38055QQstorehubsubmitZSearch ; Maybe that’s the place to sell the machine?

How can i put a file in my Virtual hard drive of my virtual machine?
Hi,
I am a newbise i am using Microsft Virtual machine 2007 which is a great tool, for emulation, and honestly i found it wounderful, but i am wondering if i have a file from my original PC disk and i want to out it in the VHD of my virtual machine how can i do it does any body know how it is done, how can i fill my VHD with the files i want to put in, ? can anybody help me ?
Thx
When using the VM, go to the file menu for the window the VM is running in and install the tools (near the bottom of the File menu I believe).
These will allow you to share drives between your host computer and the VM. With the VM open, go back to the host screen (might have to press the right ALT key to "get your mouse back" on the host) and open Windows Explorer. Drag the folder you want to share on your host system to the VM icons in the lower left hand corner of the VM window. You will see a little CD, network icon, and few others. I’m not in front of mine, but I want to say you drag and drop on the folder icon.
See this screen shot in the lower left corner for the icons I mentioned.
