can you become an interior designer if you have studied industrial design?
Industrial design is really not similar to interior design, you should take interior design classes if you are really interested in becoming an interior designer.

How do you know what machine use less electricity?
Im looking for a mini heater for myself and puttin it on my comp desk. i saw many heaters but there are many different machine with different amount of watt they use. how do you tell which machine uses less energry? thanks.
The lower wattage one will use less energy.
But note that electric heaters are unique in that they are all 100% efficient - all the electricity they use is converted to heat - so one model won’t be any more efficient than another.
They can differ in how they send the heat to you. Some use convection, some use radiation, some use both. The choice would be your personal preference.

Should an engineering student work before pursuing graduate studies?
I will soon be matriculating as a Chemical Engineering major and foresee graduate school in my future. Is is better to hop right into graduate studies or take a few years to work and develop some job experience? I’m very interested in Research and Development and not so much into industrial process and design.
I just started a co-op and very little of what I learned as a student has been applied to my job. As a result I anticipate that not much that I learn at my job will help any future studies. I would go for the graduate as soon as possible. The fact that you are more interested in R&D is more cause to go right into grad school. Actually engineering involves a lot of clerical and office like work.

Is getting involved with a vending machine business a Good or Bad Idea ?
I’ve been seeing ads in my local new paper about "20 vending machine / route and candy for only $ 9,999" Has anyone had any experience with this? Is it profitable, or a money looser? Any advise ? Anyone have experience in these trpe of ventures ? Thanks !
In the Spirit of Success,
Dan
Dan,
Do the math. At that rate, it’s almost $500 per machine. Most candy is vended at a quarter. So, you would have to sell 2000 portions to pay for the machine, and that doesn’t count the inventory you have to put in them or the time.
If you had really great locations, perhaps you could justify it, but… that also takes a lot of work, and most of them are taken.
Good Luck

What are those pre-cut slits made for easy ripping , usually found on tickets, called?
Hi, it has just been bothering me that i can’t figure out what those pre-cut little gaps/slits are called usually found on tickets where you need to rip them and these slits make it easy to rip the tickets. Also, what machine or tool is used to make those slits? Thank you
Perforation.
The device that makes the holes is called a perforation device, though they come in many different shapes and sizes, depending on the task.

what is the best exercise to build the pecs without machinery or weights?
I know that varying push ups like spacing your hands further away or putting legs on a higher level works your pecs well. Also I know that dips are good. The problem i’m having is that my left pec is so much smaller and oddly shaped, when I tense, than my right one. I mean what the hell? What can I do to build it up?
Ok… I don’t want to be like super strong with massive pecs… I just want to build them up without weights or machinery.
push ups with your arms spread wide

What are different kinds of ways of losing weight w/o using machinery?
I want to lose weight but what methods work best on the stomach and hips area? I’ve heard doing aerobics was good but what exactly are aerobics?
Okay first off, how old are you, you must be pretty young if you don’t know what aerobics are. Aerobics is doing exercise that elevates your heart rate and makes your breathing rapid, and that is the secret, your breathing that is the fuel that burns calories. So really, you can do anything that will get you breathing in and out properly to increase your heart rate for at least 15 mins a day. What really works for me is running/jogging I have "Tony Little’s Gazelle" it’s great if used properly to elevate my heart rate. Crunches are great for your stomach and side leg lifts or kicks are great for those hips. Pilate’s and Yoga are great and work really fast get you some easy beginner’s tapes and do them regularly. Eat fresh fruits and veggies all day long cut out junk foods, but don’t deprive yourself of anything, moderation is the key. Every 10 days go on a grape juice fast unsweetened of course it’s really delicious. I promise you will not be hungry, this cleans out your system of toxins that clog you up build up fat deposits and rob you of your precious energy. Do some type of exercise daily, roller blading is great for the legs, just remember you have to always stay active for the rest of your life to stay fit, healthy and looking beautiful, so you have to be dedicated and not get discouraged, good luck and god bless.
